Again this season, my mom (pictured here) is sharing her favorite recipes on my blog. Scroll down on this entry to see the directions for date-filled pinwheels.

Dates can be a great way to add sweetness without scooping in as much sugar. If you enjoy them, you’ll like this sweet, chewy pinwheel cookie created using a recipe my mom found in a local cookbook. If you’re a hard pass on dates, check another recipe on the blog. Mom’s got something for everyone.
