While the clan has decamped to the countryside for the time being, Victoire says her favorite room in the Paris apartment is the kitchen, where they all gather around a cozy table surrounded by family mementos and, of course, special works of art.

Above the kitchen table is a wonderful display of mementos and art including Benjamin’s diploma from NYU School of Law, the couple’s wedding save-the-date designed by artist Tom Sachs, and a Charles and Ray Eames edition bird sculpture. There is also a work by David Hockney, a cupcake photograph by Martin Parr, and a film extract of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Anthony Radziwill by artist Jonas Mekas.

A small workspace is carved out in the entryway with an 18th-century desk and a vintage chair. Two wooden pieces found in Thailand stand to the left, and a cut-out work by French artist Clément Rodzielski hangs above.

🛠 Do It Yourself

If you love the floors, leave them bare The apartment’s original parquet flooring was one of the selling points for Victoire and Benjamin, and they refused to hide them with rugs. To warm the space, the couple relied on their layered art collection and rich wood furniture.

Treat family mementos like works of art The couple designated a spot in the home where everyone often gathers, and decorated it with important keepsakes like a diploma, an invitation, and a wedding photo. To make the pieces feel special, Victoire and Benjamin framed each one.

Hanging along the boys’ bunk beds is a large work by Malian artist Abdoulaye Konaté.

Cover an entire wall with a textile To warm up a large wall in their sons’ room, the couple hung a massive textile work by Abdoulaye Konaté adding a ton of visual interest and texture to the white walls.

It’s also okay to just lean your art While Victoire and Benjamin have an enviable art collection, they keep some works on the floor, leaning against the wall for a relaxed look.

A makeshift bar features a white alabaster lamp by Hervé Van der Straeten and a large artwork by Goshka Macuga.
