The return of the LA County Fair is less than a month away and it’s bringing hundreds of jobs with it.
Fairplex in Pomona is hosting a job fair 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, to fill seasonal jobs for the annual fair, which runs May 5-30. There are open positions in admissions, the credentials office, concert services, events, guest relations, the creative department, facilities, security and janitorial, according to Fairplex.
Applicants must be 18 or older and are advised to bring multiple resumes and be prepared to be interviewed on Saturday. Parking is available at Fairplex Gate 9, 1101 W. McKinley Ave.
This year’s fair is the first taking place in May to get away from the sweltering September heat. After its cancellation in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic and a scaled-down version in September 2021, the 2022 fair has been planned by organizers for a full-scale return.
With more than 1 million guests expected, the fair will operate Thursday through Sunday, opening on Cinco de Mayo and ending on Memorial Day.
