Chloe x Halle has shared a new remix of their song “Do It,” featuring A-list guest appearances from City Girls, Doja Cat, and Mulatto. The Scott Storch-produced track highlights several dominating women in rap with four additional verses.
Soon after the remix hit streaming services, fans criticized City Girls’ Yung Miami for her verse. She responded to the criticism on social media stating “My verse was for the kids & Tik Tok period.”
The original track “Do It” appeared on Chloe x Halle’s recently released second album Ungodly Hour, which debuted in July. The duo also recently performed in the pre-show broadcast for MTV’s Video Music Awards, where Doja Cat took the stage later in the evening as well. City Girls made a surprise release with their latest album City on Lock in June. Atlanta rapper Mulatto shared her new project Queen of da Souf in August.
In other music news, DJ Khaled and Drake recently enlisted Justin Bieber for their “POPSTAR” music video.
