The first quarter of the first game is officially in the books.

Georgia trails the Arkansas Razorbacks 7-0 after a penalty-filled first quarter. The Dawgs have more penalty yards against (73) than total offensive yards (68).

Arkansas quarterback Feleipe Franks is 4-of-13 for 91 yards, one touchdown and one interception. His touchdown came on a 49-yard bomb to sophomore wide receiver Treylon Burks.

Georgia quarterback D’Wan Mathis is 6-of-12 for 37 yards and an interception, adding 20 yards as Georgia’s leading rusher so far.

Richard LeCounte, who gave up that touchdown to Burks, got Franks back with a big interception.

Georgia will need to be much more disciplined if it wants to come away with a win. We know very well that Kirby Smart’s blood is boiling after an eight penalty first quarter.
