The Rotary Club hopes at least 400 people will participate in the 2020 virtual runs and walks, which would be about half of last year’s total. The fundraising goal is $80,000. That would be close to the net profit from the 2019 event, Norton said, because a virtual event will not require the expenses and overhead of staging an actual race, such as bibs, timers, a stage, refreshments and police officers doing traffic control.
