If anyone thought Steel-High’s offensive attack would slow at all as the season went, Saturday’s matchup against Juniata would’ve disappointed.

Despite some challenges presented by the Indians, a strong rushing attack and some timely passing gave the Rollers another blowout victory at War Veterans Memorial Stadium, defeating the visitors 53-19.
The stars
Daivin Pryor began the game, breaking a 75-yard kick return touchdown to open the game. He would score twice more in the first half, both on 38-yard runs.
Pryor would finish with five touchdowns on the afternoon, also breaking an 86-yard catch and run for a score, finishing with 255 yards of total offense.
Alex Erby had a somewhat slow first half for his standards, taking mostly short passes the Juniata defense gave him, but came up with an explosive play with a 70-yard touchdown to Rell Ceasar Jr late in the half.
The sophomore got it going in the second, finishing with 289 yards and four touchdowns to just one pick late in the half.
Game-deciding moments
While the game was somewhat out of hand at the point, a big swing play came early in the fourth. Seth Laub, who had previously scored on an 11-yard run, nearly broke a long touchdown run, but was chased down and stripped at the one, where Steel-High recovered.
But on the next play, Juniata’s defense swarmed Daivin Pryor in the end zone, forcing a safety and taking some semblance of momentum back when they returned the ensuing punt inside the 30.
But Steel-High forced a turnover, then immediately drove down the field for a Tyrone Moore receiving touchdown, putting the score at 44-12.
They said it
“The kick return definitely set the tone, both on offense and defense also. No. 16 set the good block. Just took it to the house, set the tone and let them know we meant straight business.”- Steel-High running back Daivin Pryor on his kick return touchdown
“We had some missed opportunities too. I don’t think the score really reflected the battle that took place out on the field today. We just wanted to give them a challenge. Of course, we’re trying to win every ballgame. We were facing some adversity, we were missing some kids with COVID, our quarterback is out with injury. We aren’t the same team we were a few weeks ago.”- Juniata head coach Kurt Condo on his team’s effort
