HOLBROOK (CBS) – An 18-year-old man and two teenage boys were taken into custody after allegedly crashing a stolen car filled with stolen packages in Holbrook Thursday morning.
Romulald Bernard, who was the lone adult, is facing several charges, including operating to endanger, receiving stolen property, failing to stop for police, and leaving the scene of an accident.
The teenagers were a 16-year-old boy from Randolph and a 17-year-old boy from Dedham.
Police said they tried to stop the Toyota Camry just before 10 a.m. after they determined the car had been stolen in Cambridge. The initial officer who saw the car later lost sight of the car.
A short time later, the car crashed into a brick wall outside a house under construction on South Franklin Street and all three suspects ran away towards Longmeadow Road.
Officers were able to track down the two teenagers quickly, and later found Bernard in the nearby woods. Police also found several stolen package in the trunk of the car.
Bernard is expected to be arraigned in Quincy District Court later on Thursday. The teenagers are being charged with receiving stolen property, and they will be arraigned at Quincy Juvenile Court at a later date.
