The Red Sox look to hit blackjack tonight on the Inner Harbor after becoming the first team to 20 wins yesterday against the Orioles (7:05 p.m., NESN).
Garrett Richards has been on fire his last two times out, and will hunt for Boston’s 21st win tonight against Baltimore, who start lefty Zac Lowther. With Kiké Hernández and Christian Arroyo out with injuries, Michael Chavis gets the start at second base—and per whatever contract stipulation the group of second baseman got that one of them Must Bat Leadoff, Chavis is batting leadoff today (Kiké doesn’t always play second when he leads off, but he counts).
Marwin Gonzalez, yesterday’s leadoff batter, slides back into more familiar territory in the seven hole, and absconds to left field in place of Franchy Cordero. The rest is standard-issue asskickery as the Sox look for yet another series win on the young season and for yet more revenge against Baltimore for the opening sweep, which was rude as heck.
