It is always a good time to give back — and No Kid Hungry does it well.
For over 25 years, it has provided food to the hungry and spearheaded food education throughout the United States.
Now, it is launching a new celebrity cookware collection with Williams Sonoma.
The must-have collection has customized spatulas created by celebrity chefs, actors and talk show hosts, with standouts created by stars including Bobby Flay, Tamron Hall and Hilary Duff.
And some of this year’s participants created a few extras for the trendy collab.
There will also be tea towels and lotion sets from celebrities, like Brian Hart Hoffman and Molly Yeh, so you’ll have no problem finding something perfect for your home. And supporting a great cause makes shopping even better.
And, no, this is not No Kid Hungry’s first time working with the beloved home goods brand. Their collaborations over the years have earned more than $13 million and provided up to 130 million meals to children throughout the United States.
Bobby Flay is a superstar chef. Known for his tasty restaurants, cookbooks and work on the Food Network, he definitely knows about cooking. Now, he’s using his kitchen prowess to give back with Williams Sonoma’s latest collaboration.
“I’m thrilled to be part of Williams Sonoma’s creative spatula line-up again, and I couldn’t help but find inspiration for this spatula design from my cat, Nacho Flay,” Flay said in a statement. “Nacho founded his own cat food company this year called ‘Made By Nacho’ and is doing his part to be sure his fellow felines across the US are well fed. He’d be honored to know he has a part in contributing to No Kid Hungry’s amazing efforts to feed kids in need across the US too.”
Derek Hough knows how to dance. The professional dancer made a splash during his tenure on “Dancing with the Stars” and “World of Dance.” And despite being super busy, he’s still making time to give back with this trendy spatula.
“I know I can’t be at my best with an empty stomach. The same thing is true with kids. How can we expect kids to do their best and succeed without the fuel they need? I hope my spatula is a reminder that ending childhood hunger is far more than just filling an empty stomach,” Hough said. “By making sure no kid goes hungry, you’re helping kids be the best they can be every day and fueling their futures.”
Cooking is Gabby Dalkin’s specialty. Known for her super popular cookbook, “What’s Gaby Cooking: Eat What You Want: 125 Recipes for Real Life,” she fits right in with this No Kid Hungry collaboration.
“As a new mom, I’m even MORE aware of childhood hunger in America,” Dalkin said. “I’m thrilled to be supporting NKH for the 3rd year in a row with this Williams Sonoma collab so we can help raise money to end childhood hunger in America.”
Hilary Duff stole our hearts with her roles on Disney classics like “Lizzie McGuire” and “Cadet Kelly.” Now, she’s tugging at our hearts again with her contribution to this cool cookware collab.
“Kids deserve to be kids and live out their wildest imagination and dreams, without struggle or the worry of a hungry belly. When I look at my three kids, it breaks my heart to know there are millions of kids out there who live with hunger, ” Duff said. “I hope my spatula inspires you to live out your passion and creativity in the kitchen and is a reminder that you’re helping kids across the country do the same. When kids have access to three meals a day, they can dream big and the possibilities are endless.”
Molly Yeh’s cookbook “Molly on the Range: Recipes and Stories from An Unlikely Life on a Farm” proves her expertise. And with her Food Network show “Girl Meets Farm,” it’s no surprise that she’d contribute to such a great cause.
“Some of my favorite things to do with my daughter Bernie is to pick apples, bake with apples, sing about apples and, of course, eating apples!” Yeh said. “As a mom, it is so important to me that Bernie has access to delicious and nutritious food and it is my hope that through this partnership with No Kid Hungry, every child can have access to good healthy food.”
Tabitha Brown is a social media phenom. With over 4 million TikTok subscribers for her videos on veganism and healthy living, she’s the definition of an expert foodie. So, it makes sense that she would contribute to this charitable collab.
In her own words: “Children are our future so it is our responsibility to keep their bellies and souls fed.”
Tamron Hall is always on the go. Celebrated for her Emmy-award-winning talk show, she’s the host who everyone can’t get enough of. So, her “Let’s Taco ‘Bout It” spatula is definitely a welcome contribution.
“Food is essential; it brings people together and the best memories are made around tables of food. But that’s not the reality for millions of kids. I know what it’s like to grow up in a family struggling to make ends meet, and it’s heartbreaking to know that’s what so many families are going through right now,” Hall said in a statement. “That’s why I’m proud to support No Kid Hungry and hope with my spatula you’ll join me in building a brighter future for our nation’s kids. Just one hungry child is one too many.”
Brian Hart Hoffman is a media maven. Known for publishing magazines like “Bake From Scratch” and “Southern Cast Iron,” he’s the perfect choice for this cookware collab.
“There is no room for me to be in the global baking community without also being fully committed to the mission of ending childhood hunger,” Hoffman said. “I am proud to support No Kid Hungry and partner with Williams Sonoma for the fight — together, we can bake the world a better place.”
Founder of Fit Men Cook, Curry motivates his followers to eat well and stay fit. So, his contribution to this No Kid Hungry collab is a no-brainer.
“Growing up, food did more than nourish my body, it nourished my soul. When mom and dad made food, they did it with love and care. Even today, each time I make a recipe, I realize it’s a chance to show love to my body or express my love to others,” Curry said. “I hope that whoever ends up owning my spatula, values the opportunity that cooking food brings, especially when it’s tied to such an important and timely cause as combating childhood hunger. So, eat happy. Live well. And end childhood hunger.”
