A man with a gun and fanny pack full of methamphetamine was arrested in Vallejo last week, according to police.

The man was wanted for allegedly pointing a gun at a woman during an argument on October 22nd near Interstate 80. During that altercation on Lincoln Road, a woman said she had argued with a man who took a gun out of his fanny pack, pointed it at her head, and said “I’m a bad boy.” The man then allegedly fled the scene in the pickup truck.

Police used surveillance footage along with the victim’s description of the suspect and his truck to identify the man on December 3 near Tennessee street and Edwards Circle. According to authorities, when the police arrived to detain him, the suspect tried to overpower officers and flee on foot.

After the man was arrested, police found a loaded firearm and over four grams of methamphetamine in his fanny pack.

Police say the man had a prior conviction for assault with a deadly weapon and an outstanding arrest warrant in Napa County. The suspect has since been booked into Solano County jail.
