When Ford announced the 2021 Bronco, the company said it was coming in spring 2021. Optimistic buyers may have assumed that meant they'd get their hands on the new off-roader in March or April, but thanks to Car and Driver we now know that the first deliveries won't start until June 2021. And for people reserving now, it might be a lot later than that.
"Reservations have been so popular that some Bronco customers may not receive their Bronco until 2022," a Ford spokesperson told Car and Driver, adding that vehicles intended for customers with reservations will be built ahead of orders for stock units.
So if you haven't reserved yet, you may be waiting for 18 months or longer. If you were planning on snagging one off a dealer lot without a reservation, well, it'll be even longer. Of course, this all assumes that buyers who pre-ordered the Bronco will go through with their purchase. As we've seen with Tesla, that doesn't always happen. Still, reserving seems to be the fastest way into a Bronco.
Come December, you'll then convert your reservation into an actual order through your local Ford dealer. This will involve finalizing your color, trim, and options, after which you'll get an expected delivery timeline. If you're lucky, you'll get one before 2022.
