By re-signing quarterback Colt McCoy for two seasons, they don’t need to worry about the quarterback position.
Running back
Rob Schumacher-Arizona Republic
Chase Edmonds signed with the Miami Dolphins but the Cardinals brought back James Conner on a three-year deal. He becomes their No. 1 back. He will be the workhorse this coming season. the No. 2 position can be filled by Eno Benjamin or Jonathan Ward, someone cheap in free agency or through the draft.
Tight end
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports
Tight end is suddenly one of their strongest positions. They re-signed both Zach Ertz and Maxx Williams and this is probably the best tight end duo they have had since Rob Awalt and Jay Novacek, and those players had not quite emerged.

Kicker Matt Prater was under contract for next season but punter Andy Lee and long snapper Aaron Brewer were not. By re-signing both Lee and Brewer, the kicking and punting battery returns.
