A chance of showers and thunderstorms reenters central Pennsylvania’s forecast this weekend after a mostly sunny work week with 80-degree temperatures.
Thursday and Friday are expected to also be sunny with highs ranging from the mid to high-80s, according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday has a 40% chance of showers and storms beginning after 2 p.m. Precipitation could carry on into the evening, forecasters said. Sunday afternoon and evening also have a 40% chance of rain.
Highs could climb into the low 90s over the weekend, forecasters said.
Forecasts for next week show temperatures will not be dropping back into the 80s any time soon. Temperatures for Monday through Wednesday are projected to hit near 91 degrees, according to the NWS.
