WASHINGTON — Wade Henderson, interim president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, released the following statement on President Biden’s first 100 days in office:
“President Biden has undeniably forged a new path that could lead to a promising new era for civil and human rights in this country. From taking meaningful action on racial justice, to ending the previous administration’s xenophobic and anti-LGBTQ policies, to nominating civil rights champions for key positions and judges that reflect the vast diversity of our country, and so much more, President Biden’s first 100 days in office have been filled with significant steps that truly bring hope for brighter days ahead. There is certainly much more critical progress to make, and we look forward to working closely with the Biden-Harris administration to ensure America delivers its promise of a just and fair future for all.”
