Player Overview
Pat Freiermuth was a four-star high school prospect who started his collegiate career at Penn State with the body and skillset ready for the pros. Freiermuth hit the ground running, earning an honorable mention for the All-Big Ten Conference team in his freshman season. He became a captain of the team in his sophomore (and junior season) where he earned All-Conference and All-American honors posting career-best, 43 receptions for 507 yards and seven touchdowns. His junior season was cut short due to injury and had poor quarterback play under center. Freiermuth projects as a traditional tight end with a good all-around skillset ready for the pros.

How Will He Fit On The Team
Tight end depth is very shallow for Washington after Logan Thomas. In the draft, it is just as shallow after Kyle Pitts. Looking past the “Baby Gronk” nickname, Freiermuth checks all the boxes in a prototypical tight end. He’s capable of starting Week 1 providing the offense with another receiving option and can spell Thomas in case of injury.
