Melling Performance and Elite Motorsports sponsored Pro Stock driver Erica Enders won a Wally on Sunday in her 300th start. She has now won two straight Las Vegas national events.

Enders defeated a quad featuring her teammate Aaron Stanfield, Deric Kramer, and Mason McGaha to win the DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is Enders’ eighth win at the track.

“I guess (Sunday) is all about threes,” Enders said. “I really want to give a big thank you to my guys. It is frustrating to go out and shake your butt off (the first two qualifying) rounds. They got down to business and that’s all that matters. I’m so proud of my team and I freaking love Las Vegas.”

Enders went 6.656 at 205.88 mph to get the win. The Houston, Texas native finished approximately 3 feet in front of her teammate Stanfield, who finished second.

“My guys just stepped up to the plate,” she said. “I say that all the time, but when their backs are against the wall, they perform. I should have been nervous because they do that every single time, I ask them to. This was a great win for everybody on our team, especially with me and Aaron coming in first and second. I would not have thought that when I went to bed on Friday. I’m thankful. It is so fun to win. This feeling is replaced by nothing else in the entire world.

“Performance is a great deodorant for whatever drama you have going on and it definitely boosts the team.”
